They lived within Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria part in London. According to Taylor-Joy, this relocation was difficult and she was unable to master English in hopes of moving back to Argentina. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study dance and perform in the productions that the school staged. When she was 16, she left school to focus fully on acting.
