Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her portrayals as the main character in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Additionally, she is known for her film roles which include "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack was born into a family with no entertainment connections at all in her family tree is the child of a clinical therapy and the owner of an Ice Cream Parlor. She attended Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the separation of parents the year 1990 then went on to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and eventually graduated with a bachelor's degree in comparative arts. At the age of 12 She began her acting career with an production of the Christmas opera "Amahl and The Night Visitors". Married to producer cum director Michael Morris, she has three children.
